Uzalendo ni nini ?
Uzalendo ni ile hali ya mtu kuipenda na kuithamini nchi yake na kuweka maslahi ya taifa lake mbele. Uzalendo ni neno dogo lakini maana inayobebwa na neno UZALENDO ni kubwa. Elimu ya uzalendo ni elimu ambayo imekosekana kwenye jamii yetu. Hili linatokana na watu kutofundishwa kuipenda nchi yao. Upungufu huo ndio ambao hupelekea watu mbalimbali katika jamii kutenda mambo ambayo hushangaza watu na kuacha wengi katika mfadhaiko wa kujiuliza kama huyu mtu anaipenda nchi yake ama la.

The Maasai Tribe
The Maasai live in the semi-arid Rift Valley region of Kenya and Tanzania. They own large herds of cattle, sheep and goats which they follow around seasonally in search of new grazing grounds and water sources. Traditionally the Maasai have always been a proud and independent tribe. They did not cultivate the land and depend on a cash economy as many of those around them did, rather they lived off the blood, milk and meat that their cattle provided them. Cattle plays a central role in the life of the Maasai. Cattle represents food and power; the more cattle a Maasai has, the richer he is and therefore the more power and influence he will have within his tribe.

Dr. Hukwe Ubi Zawose
Hukwe Zawose is probaby Tanzania's greatest musical treasure. Growing up in Doduma, he was a cattle herder with plenty of time to himself and a love of the countryside that's evident in his music and his championing of folk traditions. His initial instrument was the ilimba, or large thumb piano, which his older brother also played.
